La Dama is a portrait that accompanies and reconstructs, in fragments and pieces, the path taken by its protagonist from Lima to Buenos Aires. In this intimate journey—filled with moments of humor and contradictions, frustrations and celebration, where personal dynamics struggle to come to light—we are brought closer to Kiara and her immediate circle, the Peruvian trans community in Buenos Aires. From these elements, a blurred map of personal desires emerges, set against a reality that is not always accommodating. Through archival material and a trip to Peru, nights of Facebook Live streams in Buenos Aires boarding houses, and the intimacy of home, her story moves back and forth in its own narrative: a collage that explores the intersections of an intense person and her fantasies.
